It’s Our Birthday!
Many Happy Returns
July is a special month for Curtis Recruitment – it’s our birthday – and July 31st, 2018 marks three years of successful trading. Along the way there have been highs and lows, gains and losses, long hours and plenty of blood, sweat and tears shed, in the pursuance of providing an exemplary service to our candidates and clients, and we would like to think that we have succeeded in that endeavour.
Thankfully for us, our candidates and clients have stuck by us, which has helped enormously to ensure our continued success in a difficult market. Being practice recruiters, we often experience difficulty sourcing good candidates because we are fishing in an incredibly small pond of talent, in a climate of severe candidate shortage within the sector.
There have also been a number of acquisitions and mergers of accountancy practices, which means that we are constantly adapting and if it hadn’t been for our loyal clients, we might not have enjoyed the same level of success over the last three years.
Our Mission
When Debbie initially set up the business in July 2015, part of her remit was to help disadvantaged young people into meaningful employment and we have had some notable successes. This remains an objective and we would like to spend more time on this. The more established we become, the more time we can devote to those candidates who are unlikely to get the help they deserve from elsewhere.

So, all in all, our business model is standing up in the face of often adverse circumstances. We have experienced an appropriate degree of year-on-year growth (although, we won’t be retiring just yet) and we have no shortage of live vacancies at any one time because of our loyal client base.
On July 31st there will be cake in the office and maybe a self-congratulatory tipple or two (after work of course) and we will be back at our desks on August 1st to begin our fourth year.
We would like to thank our clients, candidates and service providers for the support we have received over our first three years and we look forward to providing exceptional recruitment services in the coming year and beyond.
