Debbie Curtis

Director

Curtis Recruitment, founded in August 2015 by Debbie Curtis, was born out of a long-term aspiration to set up her own recruitment business.

Debbie has held various recruitment and business development roles over the years, including high-level management and senior roles as well as building and leading several start-up agencies.

She is a well-established recruitment consultant with over 30 years’ experience, having worked extensively throughout the Thames Valley and London since 1986, specialising mainly in the accounting and financial sector. With her wealth of experience, Debbie is well known and respected within the industry having worked for a number of prominent recruitment agencies.

Having grown Curtis Recruitment successfully since its inception, Debbie envisages that the business will continue to thrive and thanks to the overwhelming support of clients and candidates, realise the long-term ambition to assist disadvantaged and special needs young people to find meaningful employment as part of the business ethos.

In her spare time, she enjoys live music, walking her dogs and making jam that she sells for charity.

 

Paul Phipps

Director

Paul joined Curtis Recruitment in June 2016. As a journalism graduate, he brings a broad range of experience, enabling him to manage the resourcing and administration of the business. With a flair for the English language, he leads on advertising, promotion, marketing, maintaining the website and writing the company blogs.

Paul​ also plays an active part in the recruitment process, helping to ensure a successful outcome for both candidates and clients. His expertise is invaluable when working with candidates on their CVs, and advising clients on content for job descriptions.

As Co-Director, he takes care of the day-to-day running of the back office, working alongside Debbie, to ensure that a seamless and professional service is provided.

Outside of the office, Paul likes to take off in his campervan for weekends, enjoys live music, playing guitar (badly) and has previously play drums in several bands.
