Our client, a growing accountancy firm, is recruiting for an ATT Tax Trainee to join the firm and study for the ATT qualification.  This is an exciting opportunity for a self-motivated and confident individual to join a dynamic team to learn about taxation, both through study and hands on experience.

The successful candidate will play a key role in supporting the tax team to ensure the efficient and compliant delivery of personal and corporate tax services to our clients, taking on additional responsibilities as experience grows.

As ATT Tax Trainee your responsibilities will develop as your experience grows and will include:

• Provide support to the tax team across a portfolio of personal and corporate tax clients
• Assist in the preparation and submission of tax returns (personal, partnership and corporate)
• Assist in the preparation of sole trader and partnership accounts for inclusion on tax returns
• Liaise with HMRC on behalf of clients, including submitting forms
• Manage tax filing deadlines to ensure submissions to HMRC are made accurately and on time
• Maintain and update client records on the firm’s systems
• Assist client managers with other accounting work during quieter periods

• Minimum grade 4 or above in GCSE Maths and English, and 96 UCAS points or equivalent
• Excellent IT skills, specifically in Excel
• Good attention to detail
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Excellent team working skills and able to use own initiative
• Relevant work experience is preferable but not essential
• Full clean driving licence is preferable but not essential
